The Alps – circa 1950 – by W.H. Jemison Christian’s
Grandfather, W.H.Jemison, was a member of the Melbourne Walking Club for
48 years & took his camera on all trips into the Alps. This gallery
includes some images of certain features that we may not have had the
chance to see and some have now gone forever, due to either fire or age.
Please enjoy this look back in time & remember, all these images are
also available to purchase. Images of the historic huts taken around 1950
are included in the ‘High Country Huts’ gallery.
Be sure to see the classic image of Bogong Jacks Hut taken before it collapsed
in the late 50’s, and historic Wonnangatta Station Homestead 3 years
